New Release - 2016-05-06 - Chad Mathews and Kelsey Williams

 

On April 25, 2016, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search on a residence on 270 East near the Montgomery County line. Sheriff David White received information that a Mr. Chad Mathews had been dealing in opiates and was currently at his residence. Sheriff White made contact with Mr. Mathews’s probation officer, Officer Frank Gibson. Officer Gibson informed Sheriff White that Mr. Mathews had a White Warrant and gave Sheriff White permission to search the residence. 18th West Judicial Drug Task Force Investigator Jeremy Lea, Sgt. Greg Harmon, Deputy Josh Hackney, AG&F Officer Jeff Black, and Forest Service LEO Chris Johnson assisted in the search. When officers arrived on the scene, Mr. Mathews was found hiding in a closet. A female identified as Ms. Kelsey Williams was also at the residence. Ms. Williams is also a probationer. Several items of contraband including spoons and syringes were discovered in the residence and in Ms. Williams’s vehicle. Mr. Mathews was charged with Possession of Schedule VI and Ms. Williams was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The probation officers assigned to each of them were contacted with the results of the search. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
